EYY YOURE DROPPIN’ IN TO BLU ELECTRIC ZOO
Blu electric zoo is a band led by Brian Radel, we are incredibly experimental using sounds daring to pave new ways through the possibilities of music. Our song memories of the forgotten daze feels incredibly nostalgic daring to cross the boarder into a memory. There is a lot of variety that can be heard in our music. like our song why which has a strong punk vibe. We stretch from tribal to new age exploring every possible sound we can.
A darn happy man was an album of a handful of already released songs kind of a mix of the songs that were more popular I thought starting on explosion and ending with the reciprical implosion was pretty interesting, most of my songs still have to be professionally recorded but I improvise everything so thats tough to do
A notion to pass the torch is an album I would call in between definitely needs more work on a lot but Im not a professional so i just let the imperfections slip through the cracks
Most of the music we’ve made is by Brian Radel in solo work. We just jam and experiment stumbling onto all sorts of sounds, its amazing what happens when you let go and let your soul do its thing.
I highly recommend our newest album the porch sessions.
Porch sessions is an album of phone recorded acoustic songs that I think are some of my better works, all of it was improvised on the spot just lucky enough to be recorded. So many of my songs have disappeared into the wind I blew them in.
Guess I took a wrong turn at the last nebula is a highly experimental album glancing on sounds I feel describe existence in that unexplainable strangeness to the mystery of life. Memories of the forgotten daze stretches through a nostalgia I cant find within this life but I feel it still. With so many songs I rushed through them trying to get the idea out to go back to later.. Still posted them anyways tho.
A lost fractal of time is my earliest recordings slipping through many different styles with not much care for how they flow. Some songs are good and others are really bad but we aint human to be perfect
ALTERED PERCEPTIONS
Some of my artistic creations throughout the years
I spent too much time lost within a place between the days, not quite sure what I have found there but man it has been a crazy ride. Its pretty crazy what can happen when you let go and let life take over.
I really enjoy just having no goal when I create. It helps me dive deeper into my mind and sometimes I surprise myself.
Oh the stories I could tell, so much lost within the sands of time but I’m sure it’ll echo for a while. Some nights would make history if they were witnessed.
I dove into the world of glassblowing and came out schizo on the other side. When I commit to something I go all in an man did I go in on that journey.
I wouldn’t believe it if it didn’t happen to me. and even then I’m not sure I believe it.
I battle myself all the time over drugs and alcohol. Its like I’m testing fate. My mind says reasons with itself to say using substances is doing something so then I end up filling all my spare time with altered states of being so I feel like I’m not wasting my time.
Blu electric zoo is an experimantal band led by Brian Radel coming from Maine While our music does feature some friendly faces most of it is solo work. If a song includes a real drum beat it is most likely my father JR slamming the drums on one of our many jam nights. Our drum set is a blessing, found free on the side of the road. Brian plays guitar on most of the songs stretching from bass to melody to chord harmonies, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, electric bass guitar, banjo, just about anything he can play.
